This describes the current Mac and iPhone beta. Android and Windows are development tracks, not physically verified unlock platforms.

Your saved password

The iPhone app uses its device-only Keychain with user authentication required. MiniUnlock does not sync the password to iCloud. The password is encrypted for the paired computer after you authenticate. That computer decrypts it transiently to perform the authorized action. It is designed not to write the password to application logs or the relay database.

The relay

The relay processes encrypted messages, device identifiers, connection state and request timing. These operational records are distinct from your saved secret. Final retention periods, deletion procedures and support contact details must be established before a public paid release.

Permissions and limits

The Mac companion needs Accessibility access to interact with the selected lock-screen password field. Your existing local login remains available. Use MiniUnlock only for computers you own and control.

This website

This static site has no checkout, signup form or added analytics. The hosting provider receives normal web requests. No password is collected on this website.

Before commercial release

Security review, credential revocation and recovery testing, supported OS validation, and a complete privacy policy with contact and retention information are release gates. This beta is not advertised as independently security audited.
